The CRAI Market Laurent Trophy at Lake Gover on January 24 and 25, 2026

Gressoney-Saint-Jean is preparing to host one of the most important events in European cross-country skiing.

On the weekend of January 24 and 25, 2026, the Lago Gover Cross-Country Stadium will be the stage for the FESA Cup '26, a prestigious international competition included in the official calendar of the Federation of European Ski & Snowboard Associations (FESA).

The Aosta Valley stage, entitled the CRAI Market Laurent Trophy, will bring athletes from numerous European countries to the picturesque setting of the Lys Valley,

 confirming Gressoney as an international reference point for Nordic skiing.


A major event in the world of Nordic skiing

The FESA Cup is the second most important European circuit after the World Cup and is considered a real high-level training ground for young talents and emerging athletes. Participating in these competitions means competing in an international competitive environment and on technically challenging tracks, which are fundamental for the athletic growth of athletes.

The competition schedule

The weekend of races includes two days of classic technique competitions, a discipline that emphasizes endurance, technique, and tactical skills.

Saturday, January 24, 2026
• Classic technique sprint, with qualifiers and finals on a short and highly selective course.

Sunday, January 25, 2026
• 10 km individual classic technique race, with individual starts for the different categories.

The competitions will involve athletes from the senior and junior categories, offering the public the chance to watch high-level races and challenges fought to the last meter.

Lake Gover: sports and landscape

The Lago Gover Cross-Country Ski Stadium is one of the most popular venues in the Alps for cross-country skiing. The trails are set in a unique landscape at the foot of Monte Rosa, offering ideal conditions for both athletes and spectators.

During the event, Gressoney-Saint-Jean will become a meeting point for sport, nature, and winter tourism.
